Each stroke that is hand-painted on a surface to create a painting is unique and the only one of it's kind. It is not created by a robot or mechanical device and cannot be recreated or mass produced. A painting is an expression from the perception of what an artist sees. I chose to become a painter because I wanted to continue this timeless tactile activity of expression especially when digitalization and mass production have become so dominant.
“I believe that art brings people together and creates conversations about emotions, opinions, and experiences that are shared or that are different. Art teaches the viewer about themselves and those around them.” ~ Melissa Mae Kors
